Juniors 4th-6th Grade Retreats
SpringHill Juniors Retreats are for the 4th - 6th graders in your group. They are designed to help you get your year off to a great start. Where else can your group fly down the zipline, run for cover in a paintball field, and get pumped up by the awesome, loud music by night? Your students will conquer challenges on the climbing wall and within their own hearts. They'll get a balance of action-packed large group events and relevant small group times where they will share unforgettable experiences with other students and leaders. It's a weekend they'll be talking about for months to come. At SpringHill Juniors Retreats fun and faith come together to grow your group and every student in it.
Juniors 2013
The Fall Juniors Retreats is a great annual tradition for a lot of
Children's Ministries to come and boost their Fall programming. There is
nothing better in the spiritual life a child than to set markers and milestones
in their lives that they can look back to.
Juniors Retreats do exactly that. We take kids out of the norm, break them
out of routine, and allow God to break into their lives in a real and profound
way. And since having fun is a key component to development, we bring a whole
lot of that too.
The message is communicated in an innovative way, with hilarious drama,
nationally recognized speakers, and worship bands who understand the hearts and
passions of pre-teens. But the best part is, since you don't have to worry
about creating the content or managing the activities, you'll get to spend tons
of time with your students… building relationships, reinforcing truth, and
challenging them to know and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ!
To sign up your group for this awesome retreat, send us an email at register@springhillcamps.com

Juniors 1: November 1-3, 2013
Speaker: Michael Bouchard
In 2nd grade, Michael Bouchard got in trouble every day at school because he couldn't stop talking. Twenty years later, he's still hasn't quit! Michael has been a Kids/Family Pastor for over nine years, and is currently on staff at Kensington Church in Troy, MI. In 2011, he moved into an inner-city trailer park to start a Christian-based tutoring and community program for the neighborhood families called the House of Hope, which meets multiple times weekly - in his living room. And he wouldn't have it any other way. Michael believes everyone has a story to tell and has made it his mission to discover the stories of those around him and love them the way Jesus would.
When he's not using his Iron Man super powers for good and meeting the needs of others, Michael can be found honing his killer game night skills, composing music, eating unpronounceable food… and of course, talking.
Band: Joe Vercellino
Joe Vercellino is a talented and creative force in the current worship arena. He is passionate about leading interactive worship encounters. His incorporation of everything from hip-hop to hymns shows his commitment to creating innovative worship experiences that engage kids and cross generational boundaries. Among his performances are opening acts for Sanctus Real and Drew Holcomb.
Juniors 2: November 8-10, 2013
Speaker: Sean Sweet
Sean Sweet joined the staff of Destiny Christian Church as the Children's Pastor in July 2003 after teaching 4th and 5th grade for seven years. In his time as the full time preteen minister, Sean has transformed a ministry that clumped kids from 1st through 5th grade together, to one that recognizes the divergent needs of kids at different ages. He now leads Elevate, a preteen ministry at Destiny that is separate from Children's Ministries. He lives in Lincoln, California with his beautiful wife and two daughters.
Band: The Spark
The Spark aims to reintroduce their listeners to worship's very definition. With influences ranging from Hillsong to U2, The Spark blends sophisticated instrumentation with spiritual surrender--ultimately allowing the Holy Spirit to orchestrate the final outcome. They justly stand in the genre of modern worship--renovating songs like "Nothing But the Blood" and Jennie Riddle's "Revelation Song" in a way that transcends sanctuary walls.
It is their desire to write and play songs that glorify God, declare truth, and are relevant to today's youth culture. It is their prayer that, through their music, the Holy Spirit will ignite a genuine passion for God in the hearts of this generation. A fire, after all, begins with a spark.
Juniors 3: November 15-17, 2013
Speaker: Jason Raitz
Jason has worked for local churches in the Detroit area, in Chicago and most recently in Central, MI... small churches and large churches; including two of largest churches in the US… NorthRidge Church and Willow Creek Church. Most recently he was the Community Life Pastor at Community Church in Mt Pleasant, MI, and was a part of the weekend teaching team overseeing family ministries.
In 2012, Jason launched out on his own to start a brand new non-profit organization called Live Now Leadership, partnering with schools to help end bullying and to teach students how to treat each other with unprecedented amounts of kindness and respect.
Jason has been married for 15 years and has 4 kids, Bekah, Bobby, Zach, and Madie. Jason also coaches his boys' Little League teams and cheers a ton for his daughter's soccer games.

Band: Sing Love Sing
Sing Love Sing is a group of worship leaders from all over the country. Their vision is to lead people into the throne room of God and then step out of the way so everyone can experience the love and glory of Jesus Christ. Sing Love Sing consists of 20+ (and counting) worship leaders who have a passion to lift up the name of Jesus through music and art. Sing Love can look and feel very differently from one event to another, but what remains true about the band is wherever they go they will glorify the name of Christ with every chance they get.
Micah Beckwith of Sing Love Sing sums it up by saying "We have no desire for success or fame. We don't want to push our name and frankly could care less if people remember who we are. But rather, our prayer and vision is that everyone in the audience would go deeper into the presence of God. We want people who walk away from a Sing Love event to remember the time they had an encounter with the Creator of the universe! If that happens than we've succeeded."
